Brandon Davies Announces Sudden Retirement from Professional Basketball at 34

Former All-EuroLeague center Brandon Davies has officially announced his retirement from professional basketball at the age of 34.

The decision comes after Japanese B.League club Alvark Tokyo agreed to mutually terminate his contract for the 2026–27 season following Davies’ sudden request to step away from the game.

“This is a very sudden announcement, but after much thought, I have decided to retire from professional basketball. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved with Alvark Tokyo: the coaches, staff, and fans for the time I spent at this club. I will always cherish the memories we created together. Thank you very much.”
